Bon Air

These homeowners had several projects in mind. The first was to remove the existing sidewalk and brick stoop, then build a large, curved porch and portico. The new sidewalk is blue stone. The new radius brick stoop follows the curve of the portico roof and railing. All the materials except the portico ceiling are made from low maintenance composites. The roof has a hidden curved gutter at the outer edge which then flows into downspouts hidden in the rear pilasters.

In addition, new copper gutters were installed around the house, the slate roof was repaired, new copper chimney flashing installed, new French doors off the rear deck and a complete repainting of the house finished off the renovation.
The project architect was Eric Hepler, RA.
